The Journey of Hef's Hut at Great Gorge
In 1971, Great Gorge Golf Course opened alongside Hugh Hefner’s Playboy Club, making Vernon, NJ, a luxury destination for New York’s elite. After Hefner sold the property in the 1980s, the resort never fully regained its former glory, though the golf course and clubhouse remained. In 2016, Hef’s Hut opened, honoring the past while embracing modern hospitality. Today, Hef’s Hut offers a vibrant atmosphere in the original clubhouse, with stunning views, great food, and perfectly crafted drinks. It’s where the past and present come together in the best way possible.
